  • ½ l potato broth;
  • 1 tbsp. l. Sahara;
  • 60 g margarine;
  • 2 tbsp. l. sunflower oil;
  • 1 tsp. yeast, dry;
  • ½ tbsp. l. salt.

Cooking time: 80 minutes.

  2. At this time, you need to fry the mushrooms in oil, adding chopped onion to them.
  3. Grind the boiled potatoes into puree, add salt, add 1 raw egg and prepare a “dough” from all this.
  4. Grind the fried mushrooms in a meat grinder, and then add finely chopped green onions to them. The filling is ready.

It is much easier to bake potato pies in the oven. It doesn’t matter at all what filling will be used in them. As an example, consider one very interesting recipe. We will need a modest set of products.

For the "test":

12 potatoes, 200 grams of flour, a little salt, 1 egg and 1 white.

For filling:

300 grams of cottage cheese (dry), salt, 30 grams of flour, 1 yolk and a little sugar.

In addition, you will also need to take:

for cutting - 60 grams of flour, for lubricating products - 1 egg, for processing the baking sheet - 40 grams of butter.

In terms of cooking technology, this method is not much different from previous options. To make such pies, the housewife needs:

  1. Boil the peeled potatoes. There is no need to salt the water.
  2. Drain the broth and cool the potatoes.

In a frying pan, first fry the peeled and chopped onions, and then add the boiled or, if fresh mushrooms are used, fresh chopped mushroom mass and brown everything together for a few minutes or until tender.

Using moistened hands, form a flat cake from the potato mixture, put the mushroom filling in the center and, tucking in the edges, give the flat cake the shape of an oblong pie. We first dip it in slightly beaten egg whites, and then thoroughly bread it in breadcrumbs and place it in refined butter heated in a frying pan. After browning the products on both sides, remove them to a napkin for a few minutes, and then transfer them to a plate and can serve.

How to cook mashed potato pies in the oven?

Ingredients:

  • mashed potatoes – 350 g;
  • eggs – 4 pcs.;
  • milk – 100 ml;
  • vegetable oil – 200 ml;
  • flour – 900 g;
  • pressed yeast – 35-40 g;
  • granulated sugar – 40 g;
  • salt – 15 g;
  • any filling for pies.

Preparation

Add three quarters of all the butter to the mashed potatoes and mix thoroughly. Dissolve the yeast and granulated sugar in warm milk and leave for a few minutes until a foamy cap forms. Beat the egg whites with salt until thick foam, mix with the yeast mixture and potato mixture, and then, gradually adding the sifted flour, knead the dough. It should be soft, pleasant to the touch and not cool at all. Place it in a container coated with vegetable oil and leave it warm until it doubles in volume.

After this, we form pies in the traditional way from the suitable potato dough. We roll the balls, form them into flat cakes, fill them with filling and make pies. We place the products on a baking sheet, having previously coated it with refined oil, let it sit for some time, and then coat it with yolk and place it in a preheated oven. We set the baking temperature at 190 degrees. As soon as the pies are browned, you can remove them from the oven and, covering them with a towel, let them stand for about ten minutes.
