Place them in a fine mesh sieve and leave in the sink for 5-7 minutes or until ready to use to drain excess juice from the vegetable.

Then we remove the paraffin crust from the hard cheese and chop it into squares or chop it on a fine medium or coarse grater.

Then we open the package with rye crackers, pour them into a deep plate and separate out the excess crumbs, they will not be needed. If the bread products are very large, for example, very long, then it is better to first break them into several pieces. After that, put mayonnaise on the countertop and proceed to the next step.

Step 2: prepare the salad with croutons and sausage.

Place the prepared sausage, crackers, hard cheese, tomatoes, and, if desired, some finely chopped green onions into a deep bowl and season them with mayonnaise to taste. Features of preparing salads with sausage and croutons

Recipes for preparing salads with smoked sausage and croutons are varied, but the general principles for preparing these appetizers are identical, and they are worth learning to get the expected result:

  • For smoked sausage salad, rye bread croutons are more suitable. They can be prepared at home by frying the bread in a frying pan and drying it in the oven, or purchased at the store. When buying crackers in a store, preference should be given to snacks with the flavor of smoked sausage, salami, bacon or barbecue. You should not take products that smell like seafood, jellied meat, or mustard, as they can overpower the flavor of the main dish or conflict with it.
  • You need to assemble salads immediately before serving, otherwise the croutons will get soggy and the salad will become less tasty and appetizing.
  • Most often, salads are dressed with mayonnaise, but it can be replaced with sour cream or yogurt. Sausage and crackers will not allow the snack to become bland, even if the dressing for it has a delicate, mild taste.
  • Smoked sausages for salad are usually cut into strips, less often into small cubes. The remaining ingredients are crushed in the same way. When all the products are cut into pieces of similar size and shape, the dish looks much more beautiful.
  • If you use canned products for the salad, drain them in a colander and wait until they dry out a little before adding them to the appetizer.
  • Boiled or baked salad ingredients are rarely used, but if they are included in the dish, it is recommended to cool them before combining them with the rest of the ingredients.

Recipe four: salad with smoked sausage, bacon and croutons

This dish recipe can easily be classified as one of those treats that you don’t forget, you want to eat them again and again. Don't believe me? Then be sure to try to cook it, because it won’t take much time, and the dish will truly become a masterpiece and the center of everyone’s attention at the gala table. However, no one forbids you to cook it just like that.

We will need:

  • Green salad – 1 bunch;
  • Smoked sausage -250 grams;
  • Hard cheese (“Gouda”, “Parmesan” or others) – 180 grams;
  • Olive oil – 1 tsp;
  • Smoked bacon – 200 grams;
  • Bacon croutons – 1 package;
  • Mayonnaise – ¼ pack;
  • Lemon – 0.5 pcs.;
  • Garlic – 3 slices.

Preparation:

  1. To give the dish an amazing taste and aroma, we will need to lightly fry the bacon in a frying pan. Then cut it into large pieces (or do it the other way around). You can, of course, not subject it to heat treatment, but after it the dish will have an incredibly tasty and appetizing smell;
  2. Clean the sausage from the packaging and chop it randomly;
  3. Grate the cheese into thin, neat shavings;
  4. Rinse the lettuce leaves, then place them on a clean cloth to dry. Then we will tear them into pieces for food;
  5. Peel, rinse, and grind the garlic into a paste;
  6. Now it’s time for the aromatic sauce, which is also prepared very quickly: mix mayonnaise with lemon juice from half a fruit, chopped garlic and a spoonful of olive oil. Beat with a whisk for uniformity;
  7. Now let’s combine our products together: pour torn lettuce, fried bacon, shredded sausage, cheese shavings, and croutons into a deep bowl;
  8. Pour the previously prepared sauce over everything and mix gently. And in the next quarter of an hour we try not to eat the salad, it still needs to brew a little. And then help yourself to your health!
