Today we will make strawberry jam, which takes 5 minutes to make, due to this, vitamins are preserved in it. In this jam, the berries come out whole; they only change color when cooked, but not their shape. At the same time, it can be stored under ordinary plastic covers without a refrigerator.

Five-minute jam is a high-speed option for processing strawberries, so you need to cook them in small portions so that all the berries have time to warm up evenly. Cook a maximum of a couple of kilograms at a time.

It is best to cook strawberry jam for the winter in a copper basin, but if the portion is small, you can do it in a saucepan with a thick bottom.

If you want to keep the berries whole and beautiful, then it is better not to stir the jam with a spoon or spatula. Instead, you can lift the pan and swirl it around, shaking it a little.

Five-minute strawberry jam may not turn out very thick, because we did not boil it for a long time, it does not have time to boil down. But at the same time, it is still very tasty and can be eaten instantly. And also the most useful and beautiful - after all, the berries were not boiled down, but remained intact.

If you think there is too much syrup, you can pour the excess into a separate jar. And you will have homemade natural syrup, which you can use to soak cakes, pour over ice cream, etc.

Strawberry jam 5 minutes. The secret of how to make healthy strawberry jam for the winter (method 1)

Although the jam is called “five-minute jam,” it takes two to three days to prepare it according to this recipe. But on each of these days you will need a minimum of time and effort.

But, in fact, it is not difficult. We came home from work in the evening, turned it on, cooked for 5 minutes and set it aside. Saving time for modern busy housewives.

The proportions are approximately the same as for most types of jam: per kilogram of strawberries you need 1 kilogram of sugar.

  1. First, prepare: the berries must be washed and removed from the sepals.

2. Cover approximately two kilograms of berries with two kilograms of sugar.

3. After this, let it sit with sugar for 15-20 minutes. Then put it on low heat. The jam begins to boil, stir gently until the sugar dissolves completely. You don’t need to stir too much, because the berry is tender, it’s important not to crush it, just if you have some sugar left on the surface, you need to carefully push it down with a spatula so that it dissolves.

4. When the jam has boiled for 5 minutes, you need to set it aside.

5. The next day, turn it on again to cook for 5 minutes after boiling. And then remove from the stove again.

6. The next day, boil again for five minutes and pour hot into sterilized jars. The jam is ready!

Five-minute strawberry jam. How to make jam with whole berries (method 2)

This is real five-minute jam, which does not need to be cooked for three days (albeit for 5 minutes each), but is cooked in one go. In this recipe, we follow the method of our mothers and grandmothers - we do not weigh the sugar, but simply measure it in equal measure with the berry. For example, for 5 cups of berries, 5 cups of sugar.

This is the fastest jam. But it is recommended to cook it not on low, but on medium heat, so that the berry can warm up, especially if it is large.

1. First, make a very thick sugar syrup. For the syrup, you will need about half a glass of water per liter of sugar. Stir the water and sugar until all the sugar is wet, place over medium heat or higher and begin to cook, stirring constantly.

2. Gradually it will turn into a thick boiling syrup.

3. At this moment, switch to medium heat and carefully add the berries.

4. At the very beginning, you can stir a little with a spatula, especially near the bottom, so that the syrup does not burn. But as soon as the liquid from the strawberries appears, you can no longer stir; mixing occurs like this: you take the pan, rotate and shake so that the berries change place. At this stage, the boiling stops, the heat should be medium or below medium - at this time the berries release their juice into the sugar syrup.

5. Then the jam will boil, and every two minutes you need to take the pan and rotate it in a circular motion so that the berries turn over and heat up evenly.

6. A sign that cooking is finished is when the jam begins to bubble at the edge of the pan. This may take more than five minutes, but you have to wait for this moment.

7. Next, you need to quickly put it into sterilized jars. You need to lay it out very carefully.

In general, it is recommended to distribute strawberry jam into jars when cooled, since the berries become hard and do not fall apart. But the five-minute one must be laid out while it’s hot, otherwise the jars may explode later.

8. Immediately close the filled jar with a lid. Roll up the jars and place them upside down under a blanket until completely cooled.

Strawberry jam with whole berries - a classic recipe with step-by-step photos

Strawberry jam, cooked according to the classic recipe, turns out thick and viscous. This is how our grandmothers prepared it. The strawberries in it turn out whole, as they say, “berry to berry.” A detailed description with step-by-step photos will help you master making real strawberry jam.

Ingredients:

  • strawberry – 2 kg;
  • sugar – 1,200 kg;
  • lemon juice – 2 tbsp. spoons.

Preparation:

We wash the berries and dry them on a kitchen towel. Pour layers of peeled strawberries and granulated sugar into the bowl in which we will prepare the jam. We leave the workpiece overnight and begin the process in the morning.

First, very carefully transfer the berries into a separate bowl and boil the syrup. There is a lot of sugar at the bottom of the basin. It should completely dissolve in the juice.

Place the container on high heat, bring to a boil, wait 5-7 minutes, skim off the foam and add the berries.

Cook over high heat until it returns to a boil, gently stirring the strawberries into the syrup. Leave the jam for 8 hours.

If you started cooking in the morning, then the next stage will be just in the evening. Thus, boil the jam 2-3 times for 5 minutes at a time and leave to stand for 8 hours each time.

The last stage is boiling the treat to the desired thickness. Boil the strawberries over low heat for 15-20 minutes, and check the thickness with droplets on a plate. But I personally always try it myself. The jam cools quickly in a spoon and it becomes clear what it will be like in a jar. You definitely can't go wrong.

The photo shows a completely finished dessert - after all the cooking. This is how a strong berry turns out.

Before the last cooking, add 2 tbsp. spoons of lemon juice. It will preserve the sweet preparation from mold and sugaring!

Place the finished delicacy hot into sterilized jars, close the lids and turn over. It is better to store it in a cool place! Maybe in the cellar.

Classic jam differs from “quick” desserts in its dark burgundy color and honey consistency. And on winter evenings it will delight both children and adults with its aromatic sweetness!

The cooking process itself takes place in several stages. In fact, 5 minutes is the time for each stage of cooking.

Today we will tell you how to make delicious strawberry in the traditional way, and how to keep the berries intact. Each housewife has her own recipe, but they all take the classic cooking method as a basis. The best way is discovered through experimentation, so don't be afraid to try something new. Jam “5 minutes” according to the classic recipe

Before you start preparing strawberry jam with whole berries “5 minutes” according to the classic recipe, you need to understand that the cooking principle is adjusted to each housewife, because the berries can be sour or, conversely, sweet.

It is also worth considering that strawberries may be waterier or drier. The tastes of the whole family are also taken into account: some like thin jam, others like thick jam.

Required Products:

  • strawberries - 1 kilogram;
  • sugar - 1 kilogram.

Cooking process:

Fresh berries must be sorted thoroughly so that you don’t get any spoiled ones. We wash the strawberries and tear off the cuttings. Wash the berries thoroughly again, try not to press. This is an important stage of cooking, because if rotten or dirty food gets into the jar, then all the work will go down the drain, as mold will form in the jar. Then we place the washed berries in a colander and let the water drain.

Next, transfer the berries to a clean bowl, preferably aluminum. Sprinkle sugar on top and set aside. It’s better to prepare everything in advance in the evening so that the berries and sugar can sit all night. No need to stir.

By morning the sugar should melt. Even if it has not completely dissolved, place the container on the stove over low heat. Shake the container with berries from time to time. Soon juice should appear around the edges. Gradually the sugar will turn into sweet syrup.

As soon as the foam appears, the heat must be reduced and the foam removed. After 5 minutes from the moment of boiling, remove the jam from the stove for 12 hours. Similar manipulations are carried out 3 times.

We prepare the jars. First, rinse thoroughly and wipe dry, after which we sterilize in any way. You can put the jars in the oven and keep them for about 15 minutes at 150 degrees.

Then boil the lids and boil the jam. Pour the berries along with the syrup into jars and roll up.

Turn the pieces upside down and leave until completely cool. Then we transfer the finished strawberry jam with whole berries according to the classic recipe to the cellar.

Required Products:

  • strawberries - 500 grams;
  • sugar - 400 grams;
  • half a lemon.

Cooking process:

We peel the zest from the lemon without the white layer (remove it altogether). Squeeze the juice out of the lemon.

Wash the berries thoroughly, sort them and tear off the stem. Place them in a cup.

Add sugar. Grate the zest and sprinkle on top of the sugar. Add juice.

Place the cup on low heat and wait until the sugar dissolves. From the moment of boiling, time it for 5 minutes and skim off the foam as it appears.

Then turn off the heat and let the jam sit for an hour. Then put it on the fire again and cook for 5 minutes, leave for an hour. Cooking takes place in 3-4 stages.

Place the jam in pre-sterilized jars and roll up. Turn the pieces over with the lids down and wrap them in a blanket. When the jars have cooled, transfer them to the cellar.

  8. When 10-15 minutes have passed, stir the jam again. During the entire cooking time, stir the berries about 3 times, but do it very carefully so as not to damage the integrity of the delicate berries.
  9. Rinse the lemon and squeeze the juice out of it. When the multicooker notifies you that the cooking mode has ended, remove the foam from the jam and add lemon juice. Stir. Thanks to the lemon note, the jam will acquire an unusual taste and thicker consistency.
  10. Prepare the jars in advance: rinse them with baking soda in hot water, and then hold them over steam for 10-15 minutes. Don’t forget to wash the lids as well.
  11. Pour the hot jam into the jars and close with lids (tin or screw). Turn the jars upside down and leave them in this position until they cool completely.
  12. Tasty and aromatic jam is ready. Enjoy your meal!

Five-minute strawberries for the winter with lemon juice

Cooking time: 8 hours

Number of servings: 1-2

Ingredients:

  • Fresh strawberries – 1 kilogram
  • Granulated sugar – 1 kilogram
  • Freshly squeezed lemon juice – 2 tablespoons

Cooking process:

  1. First you need to select the ripest, juiciest and whole berries. Then rinse the strawberries under plenty of cold running water and drain in a colander to dry the berries a little. Remove the green tails, place the berries in a deep saucepan and sprinkle the strawberries with sugar. It is best to leave the berries to stand overnight, but if you decide to make the jam in the morning or afternoon, it will be enough to let the berries stand for 5-6 hours.
  2. When the specified time has passed, the strawberries will have time to produce a sufficient amount of juice. Place the pan over low heat and let the jam come to a boil. When the jam begins to boil, increase the heat to full power and let the jam simmer for about 5 minutes. Foam will begin to actively appear and will need to be removed.
  3. After 5 minutes, add lemon juice to the jam, boil for another 1-2 minutes and turn off the heat.
  4. Pour the hot jam into prepared jars (rinse them thoroughly and steam for 10-15 minutes). Seal the jars with lids, turn them upside down, cover with a blanket and leave to cool completely.
  5. Enjoy your tea!
