Eggs, flour and milk are three ingredients that are considered indispensable in baking. But if there are no eggs in the house, you can make the dough without them. There are many simple recipes for delicious dishes that do not use eggs. Here are some of them.

Kefir pies

If you want to make a quick dish, opt for pies with potato filling.

You will need:

  • 600 g flour;
  • a glass of kefir;
  • half a teaspoon of soda;
  • about five tablespoons of vegetable oil;
  • 0.5 kg of potatoes;
  • 50-60 g butter;
  • 1 onion;
  • a little salt and sugar.

How to cook:

  1. Before preparing the dough, you should slightly warm the kefir. Add soda, sugar and salt to the warm fermented milk product. When you use kefir in the dough, there is no need to extinguish the soda.
  2. Stir the mixture. Then add a few tablespoons of vegetable oil. Add flour without ceasing to stir the dough. The mass should be quite thick.
  3. Knead the dough with your hands. It should “breathe” for about half an hour.
  4. While the pie dough is resting, prepare the filling.
  5. First, peel the potatoes and boil them. Prepare mashed potatoes by adding butter to the potatoes.
  6. The onion must be peeled and fried in oil until it acquires a golden hue.
  7. Add fried onions and salt to the puree. The mixture should cool.
  8. Make small cakes from the dough and place the potato and onion filling in the center. Seal the edges tightly.
  9. Pies can be cooked both in a frying pan and in the oven.

You can use cottage cheese, champignons, minced meat and even sorrel. Try making sweet ones. The sour taste will go well with the sweetness of the dough.

Yeast-free pies with cabbage filling

Pies with filling are a universal dish. But they take a lot of time to prepare. When you don’t have time, it’s worth kneading “quick dough” for them. These pies are as tasty as pies made from yeast-based dough, and they cook very quickly.

For the test you will need:

  • water – 370-400 g;
  • flour – 640-680 g;
  • butter – 105-135 g;
  • salt – 4-7 g;
  • slaked soda - half a teaspoon.

Filling ingredients:

  • cabbage – 420-480 g;
  • vegetable oil – 47-55 g;
  • onions – 2 pcs.;
  • pepper and table salt - to taste.

Cooking sequence:

  1. Heat the water to 45-48 degrees, add butter and salt to it.
  2. Add half the flour mixed with slaked soda to the resulting salted water and mix thoroughly.
  3. Add the rest of the flour and mix gently.
  4. Knead the resulting dough until elastic.
  5. Leave for 14-17 minutes.
  6. While the prepared dough is “infusing”, you need to prepare the filling: finely chop the onions, fry them in oil and add cabbage, pepper, salt and simmer until fully cooked. There is no need to cover the pan with a lid (in this case, excess water will evaporate from the filling).
  7. Roll out the yeast-free dough thinly and make circles up to 9 cm in diameter.
  8. Place the filling in the center of each circle and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Cook at a temperature of 175-210 degrees for no more than one hour.

The pies will turn out delicious and golden brown.

Yeast-free dough goes perfectly with any filling: be it cabbage, meat or jam.
